There is no "best" profession. It all depends on how you like to play (melee, ranged or caster) and what secondary you like.
Check things out at the two wikis. http://gw.gamewikis.org/ and http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page

There are no 'best professions' in Guild Wars. Every class has it's weaknesses and advantages. eg: ranger = good at range, warrior = good at close combat

As said previously, there are no best profession. However if you are looking for some of the easiesr professions to start with i'd say warrior, elementalist or ranger depending if your are mmore the mele, raged or caster type. The other professions aren't hard to start with though, mesmer and monk can be tricky though.
EDIT: Darcy gave you the links to the two wikis, these will be one of your best source of info about GW. Last edited by tijo; Feb 15, 2008 at 03:40 AM // 03:40.. |

What do you like doing?
Healing things, Whacking things, Casting Spells on things, or spending hours saying "Mesmer LFG". |

Also, the good thing is you can take a secondary and "somewhat" completely change your character. Like the necro, can become a good healer with the right build.

I always stress that people should make at least one of each proffesion at some point. The more you know about how each proff works the better you will be able to work with other people in a party.
Also you really can't tell how much you will like a certain proffesion untill you've given it a try yourself. |
